- Portable lawful interception projects destined for the German Police
- Lawful interception system requiring secure interfacing of legacy systems to new TCP/IP based systems
- Network monitoring system in Abu Dhabi to provide a country wide overview of the status of the mobile phone network
- Voice quality analysis system for Voice over IP calls
- Telecoms gateway system allowing telephone exchanges from different countries to interwork
- Organising the setup of a customers remote offices
- Organising a customers participation in trade shows such as Cebit
My Process:
- Liaise with clients at the early stages of a project to define their requirements, especially important in projects where the client was implementing a system due to regulatory demands
- Formulate the initial plan with a mixture of training and getting to know the customers environment.
- Prepare a feasibility study in cases where strict specifications have to be adhered to (both technical and legal)
- Develop and implement the systems as pre-agreed
My ability to think “out of the box” has been very important on many projects where the currently available solutions were just not enough. Working together with analysts, developers, testers and the users I help come up with a suitable implementation. I believe integrity is a very important aspect of my approach. I have learned that being open with my customers and getting them involved in the problem solving process will make a major difference in the success of a project. Thorough reporting to the decision makers and involvement of all the shareholders in a project meant that I can consistently deliver projects within budget, to requirements and on time.
