		<description>I had a look at your post but I&#039;m still 100% convinced that for the majority of businesses the best way to go is to host the blog within their own site. 

At least that way they gain any advantages from people linking to them and they have complete flexibility. 

I don&#039;t think the hosted platforms give an impression of being cheap. Regarding building up a community - if the hosted platforms are working so hard to lock you in it&#039;s probably going to get difficult to reuse your content on other platforms.</description>

My hunch lately has been that more and more services only work with popular blog networks; they are interoperable. There is more chance for serendipity &amp; better findability. 

Unless a business is reusing the blog content in other parts of their site... why host their own blog? Even then, why not just import needed content via the feed or API and reuse... 

If I&#039;m asked to set up a blog for a company, I can&#039;t decide what is best. What do you think?</description>
